FAQS

About the Services

1. What does a play-based consultation involve?
Each session is tailored to your child’s developmental stage and interests. We explore play-based strategies, provide expert insights, and leave you with a personalised plan that’s easy to implement at home.

2. How do I know which package is right for me?
Our packages are designed for different levels of support. A single session offers a great starting point, while multi-session packages provide ongoing guidance as your child grows. Feel free to reach out if you’re unsure—we’re happy to guide you.

3. What ages do you work with?
Our services are designed for families with children from birth to around 6 years old, but strategies often benefit older children too. We tailor everything to your child’s unique stage of development.

4. Are these sessions suitable for neurodivergent children?
Yes. Our approach is inclusive and rooted in understanding diverse developmental needs. Strategies are adapted to meet your child where they are, with respect and support for their individual strengths.

Booking & Sessions

5. What happens after I book a session?
Once you book, you'll receive a confirmation email and a pre-session questionnaire. This helps us personalise your session. You’ll also get information on how to prepare and what to expect.

6. Where do the sessions take place?
Sessions are held online via video call for convenience and accessibility. If in-person options become available in the future, we’ll update this space.

7. Can I book a follow-up or additional support later on?
Absolutely. You can book a follow-up coaching call, update your play plan, or add an additional session at any time through the add-on options.

Approach & Philosophy

8. What is play-based learning, and why is it important?
Play-based learning supports your child’s natural curiosity and development through meaningful, joyful interactions. It builds foundational skills in thinking, moving, socialising, and self-regulating—all through play.

9. Do I need lots of toys or special materials?
Not at all. We focus on using what you already have at home—ordinary items, everyday routines, and open-ended materials. Our approach is about intention, not perfection.

10. Is this like traditional parenting coaching?
Not quite. While we do support you as a parent, the focus is on understanding your child’s development and offering practical, play-based strategies that work in real life—without judgment or pressure.
